  Friendship Month 2023

In the Academic Year of 2022-2023, the Student Council expresses their enthusiasm for the school through the Friendship Month, a fundraising event. The Friendship Month encompasses 4 main activities: the Friendship Stall, Bracelet-making, Photo Booth, and the Open Mic session. This event seeks to strengthen the connections and relationships between Tzu Chi Secondary School students as well as teachers through performance opportunities in exhibiting appreciation, respect, and love to their friends in the form of small gifts, tokens, memories, and performances. Friendship Month also encourages students and teachers to express their gratitude and joyfully celebrate, appreciating friendship and platonic love allowing us as a school community to apply the Tzu Chi Values of Gratitude, Love and Respect.

This event lasted from the 13th to the 28th of February 2023, beginning with the Friendship Stall which occurred from the 13th to 17th of February. The Student Council encouraged students to have the heart to share through the purchase of cute gifts like bears, snacks, candles, and crochets to their friends, keeping close to heart: that sharing is caring. The event then continued with the Friendship Bracelet activity which allowed students (and teachers, of course) to make colorful bracelets for 7 days! Not to mention, we also had the Photo Booth which captured unforgettable memories from the 21st to the 24th of February. Snap! Friendship Month ended with a last, but certainly not the least anticipated activity: the iconic Open Mic Session! in which our talented students, teachers and even one of Daii Mama members performed spectacularly over the course of the two last days of February. This was the first time that our school celebrated Friendship Month, and based on the experience we've had so far, we certainly hope it isn't the last.
