Students study six subjects that can be chosen from six subject groups* in addition to the core elements of:

  • Theory of Knowledge Course – requires students to reflect on the nature of knowledge, and on how we know what we claim to know.
  • Extended Essay – an independent, self-directed piece of research, finishing with a 4,000-word essay.
  • Creativity, Activity and Service – involves students in a range of creative, health and service activities alongside their academic studies.

The student's subject selection is based on a few considerations such as their grades and performance in the MYP, their teacher's recommendations, as well as their plans for university and prospective major after they graduate from Senior High School.
