  Occupation Sharing Day

Occupation Month was held from January 18th to February 3rd, 2023. The goal was to introduce kids to different professions and occupations in their community, appreciate the hard-working individuals in their lives, and enjoy learning about their community helpers.

This year, the school invited parents to share about their jobs, offering a unique and interactive learning experience for the kids. The parents covered a diverse range of occupations, including leather crafting, floristry, jewelry design, medicine, light engineering, entrepreneurship, banking, painting, yoga instruction, and more.

In K1 Respect, Dr. Anastasia Dewi taught the kids about being a doctor. She brought a doctor's kit for the kids to decorate, make medicine, and role-play as a doctor examining a patient. The kids tried using a stethoscope on each other, creating a memorable experience. The hands-on activities and interactive approach inspired the kids and taught them about the responsibilities of a doctor, as well as the importance of helping others. This was a highlight of Occupation Month for the kids in K1 Respect.

The kids in K1 Love learned about being a barista from Ibu Paulina. She taught them about the responsibilities and skills required for the job. The kids got hands-on experience by making lychee and wild fruit tea and having a tea party. This was a fun and engaging activity for the kids, who learned about a new occupation and gained a deeper appreciation for those who work in the food and beverage industry. The practical and interactive approach made for a memorable experience, and the kids will likely remember the lesson for years to come.

These were just a few of the many exciting activities that took place during Occupation Month. At the end of the event, the teacher and students reflected, with the kids being encouraged to work hard and achieve their dreams. A big thank you goes out to all the participating parents who made this event possible and provided memorable experiences for the kids.
